Udaipur Trip (Gr 5)

Udaipur Trip (Gr 5)

Our trip to Udaipur was a splendid and memorable experience. Our journey started from Anand Niketan Satellite Campus at 5.30 a.m. We boarded the bus and sang, danced and had an enjoyable fun filled bus journey. We took 8 to 9 hours to reach Udaipur. After reaching, we had our lunch and explored the Maharana Bagh Resort. We were allocated our rooms and when we saw our rooms, we were super excited. We jumped on the soft beds and explored the huge rooms. Then we took a much needed nap. In the evening we went to the colourful and sprawling Shilpgram. We took all our money with us. We shopped a lot and bought many gifts for our family, friends, and relatives and obviously for ourselves too. We were quite tired, so we went to our rooms and relaxed for some time. When our respective Anala group leaders told us to sleep we acted like we had slept but after some time we started partying. We played games and danced like never before. Next day was our best friend’s birthday so we made a cake for her in the night and we got her ready. After the party we slept for a few hours. Next morning, we were very late for the breakfast and managed to eat a bit. Then we were all instructed to get ready and gather in the lawn. The Anala group gave us the instructions and briefed us about the places we were going to visit. We visited the City Palace, Maharana Pratap Smarak and Sahelion ki baadi. The City Palace was a splendid, historical monument. It was really huge with numerous rooms; and we were exhausted after touring the entire palace. There were many tunnels inside and it was constructed in a very interesting manner. There were two small places in the city palace. One was the Rani’s palace and the other was the Raja’s palace. The Raja’s palace had four levels. The Rani’s palace had three levels . Each level was amazingly beautiful and had a variety of displays in it. Next we went to the Maharana Pratap Smarak. There was a very big statue of Maharana Pratap and of his horse Chetak. We clicked so many photos with the statue and we were awed by that beautiful place. Next we went to Sahelion Ki Baadi. It is most famous for its fountains and the most talked about is the magic fountain. Then we returned to our resort ,got freshened up and had our lunch. Then our tour leaders made us play some very interesting games. After some time we went for dinner. And lo, there was a surprise for us. There was a dance party organized for us. We started with a few new Bollywood songs and ended with traditional garba. Exuberant though tired, we all went to our rooms and started playing again. We did not realize when we all actually slept. Next day again we were late for breakfast and we decided to skip it. We had some snacks that we had carried with us in our bags and went down the hill and then up another hill for trekking. That trekking experience was like a dream come true. Physically, our bodies wanted to give up but mentally, we wanted to reach the top. We climbed, climbed and climbed. We encountered many birds and insects on the way. The view from the top was unbelievably beautiful. It was time to return to our resort. We packed all our things, locked our rooms and came down with our bags and suitcases. It was finally time to go back and re unite with our families with tons of cherished memories. We boarded our buses and started the journey back to Ahmedabad. It was again a journey of 7 to 8 hours wherein we danced, sang, slept and enjoyed our journey. We were treated to Burgers and Mc. Puffs on the way back and were finally welcomed by our parents with warm hugs and smiles all around.

Outdoor camps and trips are such wonderful experiences , strengthening our confidence in ourselves as well as building strong bonds with teachers and friends.
