The year 2019 & 2020 will always be marked as red letter years in the history of this universe as pandemic years. They transformed the life of each and every human being other for better or for worse.
Apart from the life skills of resilience that they taught, the pandemic also nurtured many entrepreneurs who had the required time and the focus to take a risk and try a hand at their passion.
One such budding little chef and entrepreneur – Reyansh Khemka, a student of Grade 7, Anand Niketan Satellite Campus discovered his interest and talent of making waffles. A foodie himself, Reyansh tried his hand at making waffles and experimented with various toppings during his time at home. After receiving a lot of appreciation from family and friends, his parents encouraged him to venture into the world of cloud kitchen with delivery only as the option and the home kitchen as the working station. His elder brother – Vir Khemka, a Grade 10 student of Anand Niketan Satellite Campus, guided him and registered Reyansh’s Kitchen on Swiggy and Zomato web portals. Right from planning to stocking ingredients, to tracking the orders and preparing them with quality and finally getting them delivered, Reyansh has mastered the art well.
‘I started my Cloud Kitchen specializing only in waffles during the online learning sessions. Now offline school has started and I manage my school work in a manner that I am free between 7 pm to 10 pm for all my orders’ – says Reyansh, juggling expertly between academics and his passion.
‘Reyansh, a relatively reticent child in the classroom, has impressed us all with his skills of planning cooking and critical things. He is the perfect example of an entrepreneur and quite a role model for the other students. I have tried the waffles from ‘Reyansh’s Kitchen’ and they are absolutely delicious. You all must try them too, said Ms. Nashy Chauhan, Director, Anand Niketan Satellite Campus.
