Independence Day Celebration

EXRAVAGANT CELEBERTAION AT ANAND NIKETAN SATELLITE CAMPUS ON THE OCCASION OF 75TH YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE

Why do we celebrate Independence Day? Why does this date of 15 th August still hold importance to us? If you ask a layman today, the answer to him might be obvious – this was the day when we, the people of India, were finally set free from the shackles of those who held power over us, the British. This was the day 75 years ago, which opened the bottle of patriotism that had been confined and constricted in the soul of 340 million people.

At Anand Niketan Satellite this year, the students and educators took an extra step to inculcate the values of the Tiranga . The ‘Special Assembly’ commenced with the unfurling of our National Flag( Flag hoisting), followed by addresses by the honorable trustees of the school, Shri Kamal Mangal Sir and Shri Vivek Patel Sir. The message from them was very clear that may we all enjoy our freedom of thoughts and choice for the rest of our lives ; know our purpose in life and be truly happy. It was followed by enthralling performances by our patriotic students .

There were exuberant dance performances, melodious music and a unique skit that depicted the journey of how the Tiranga came to be the Indian national flag.

The students next paid a special tribute to our flag and country as a whole. Through metaphors and blooming vocabulary, they displayed a beautiful poem on our national language in Hindi.

To put an end to the assembly, the students of Anand Niketan Satellite performed their Finale, a beautiful and applause-worthy dance on the songs of ‘Vande Matram’ and ‘Ae Vatan’, amongst others.

This celebration further went on to show the love and pride the student of Anand Niketan possessed for their country, the flag and most importantly, its people.
