8 Years old ANTS Little Genius Makes it in India Book of World Records

Hirarth Ajay Singhania, an unassuming, quiet, little boy, aged merely 9 years and studying in Grade 4 at Anand Niketan Satellite Campus has left us all awestruck by devising a new method of Division.

A shy, soft spoken and introvert child in comparison to his elder brother Nishchay Singhania, Hitarth as been a curious and sincere student right from a young age and has created history in the field of Mathematics.

He can solve any division sum using his own method. It could be a 7 to 8 digit number divided by any digit number. Through his unique method the number operation of division has become much easier and faster.

His caliber has been appreciated not only by the school founder and trustee, Shri Kamal Mangal and Director, Nashy Ma'am but he also had the good fortune of been appreciated by the Education Minister of West Bengal Dr. Partha Chatterjee, who recognized him as an asset for the nation.

Hitarth as a student has never been to any tuition classes. He has invented this method on his own while exploring the method of Division in Grade 3. This was discovered by his mother accidently while helping him with his homework.

He always preferred to sit and engage in silent activities, all by himself. I did not even realize that since one year, he had been working out sums on division using his own method. I hope that the department of education recognizes this method and this helps other children in solving division sums quickly and accurately, says his mother, Mrs. Namrata Singhania.

'Hitarth's method of division is not only simple, but extremely innovative. It is completely indigenous and he came up with his method entirely as his own. It is quite interesting to see him dabble with numbers and play around with comfortably,' shares Ms. Subira Jha, his Maths teacher.

His class teacher Mr. Kuntal Patel has wonderful things to share about him. 'Hitarth is an extremely responsible and focused student. At an age when Mathematics as a subject seems like a burden to most students, Hitarth is at ease with numbers. The method devised by him is very simple with repetitive steps, easily understood by all students.

'Hitarth's name has entered into the Indian book of World records at this young age and we are all very proud of him. I would give credit to both his teachers and his parents for positively collaborating and giving him the freedom to explore and love numbers,’ says Ms. Nashy Chauhan, Director, Anand niketan Group of Schools.
